CLEANSES: It cleanses the pores of the skin with thermalized Kaolin clay. The clay is rich in copper, selenium, magnesium, zinc and manganese which are important skin nutrients. Kaolin clay draws out impurities from the pores and by keeping pores clean they appear smaller. This specific kaolin clay is non-radiated and thermally sterilized to ensure it is free of pathogens. The mask easily removes make up, waterproof mascara, lipstick and SPF.



EXFOLIATES: As you know we do our best to ensure that all ingredients we use are fairly traded and sustainable. We have made a conscious decision to ensure that all our exfoliants come as by-products or leftovers from other industries. We use RICE EXFOLIANT that not only brightens skin but is also upcycled from the food industry. It did not meet the market criteria to be packaged for consumption because of its different size or shape, but we love it just as much and we ensure it does not go wasted. We also use OLIVE EXFOLIANT as a leftover ingredient from the oil industry and BLUEBERRY EXFOLIANT from the juice and cosmetic oil industry. Hence, juice and oil are extracted from the fruit and its seeds respectively and then leftover seed particles can be used as exfoliants in personal care products. Our exfoliating particles are fine, natural and skin-smoothing and in a size suitable for use in facial care.



HYDRATES: The hydrating properties of this mask are truly wonderful. The mask has a viscous oil-gellant consistency that after rinsed from the skin, it feels like an additional humectant, slightly slime-like, that is there to stay for the next few hours. For this reason we suggest to use only water to rinse off the mask and then gently pat dry. No moisturizer needed after using it.



SOOTHES SKIN: Active materials are used that are known to soothe inflamed and stressed skin. These include Octyldodecanol (fatty alcohol), Blackcurrant seed oil, Rosemary leaf extract and Cardiospermum Halicacabum Flower extract.

In addition, the 22 botanical herbs that we grow on our mountainous plantation in Gourri support soothing of the skin. These include Calendula, Myrtle, Oregano, Comfrey, Fig Leaf, Sage, Laurel, Elderberry and much more.

Chemical Families:

The essential oils used are members of the chemical families of sesquiterpenes, monoterpenes, monoterpenols and esters. They are effective against bacteria, they are great penetration enhancers for other ingredients used in this formula, they improve circulation, and brighten a dull complexion.



Emotional/Energetic Qualities of the Hydrating Mask:

The precious oils used come together to get things moving by shifting energy from being sluggish to feeling more adventurous. They are cooling and emotionally grounding. The scent is fresh, earthy, herbal, slightly resinous, balsamic and woodsy.

- Organic Cold Pressed Raw Hazelnut Oil: Brightens complexion and tightens skin
- Organic Cold Pressed Marula Seed Oil: Excellent moisturizer, particularly for mature and aging skin
- Olive Squalane: Helps in the restoration of natural squalene in the skin which declines with age
- Wild-harvested Mastic Essential Oil: We are proud to source this directly from the producers on Chios Island which is known to produce the best quality Mastic oil in the world. Mastic oil helps to reduce wrinkles and provides more elasticity to aging skin.
- Supercritically extracted Pomegranate Seed Oil: This is a very precious oil that helps in the reduction of inflammation, promotes collage production, and supports healthy aging.




Use: Apply on dry skin, massage first to exfoliate, and then leave on for 20 minutes or longer. Rinse with plenty of water. Do not use soap after rinsing. This will allow its hydration to last longer.
